I.Cavoli - Canale W

In its jagged coasts there are small inlets surrounded by granite boulders with white sand bottoms: the long and narrow cala di Ponente, accessible to small boats, cala del Morto to the south, cala del Ceppo and the largest and most protected cala di Scasciu. The clear and deep blue waters are home to schools of dolphins and barracudas. On the bottom, rocks form hollows and cracks, habitats for lobsters, capons, ravens, snappers, shrimps, sea bream, amberjacks, white breams and mullets.

Secca di Libeccio

The shallowest point is – 15 meters. It is a site for experienced divers as it is almost always characterized by strong currents. It has large rocks that form ridges between them separated by tongues of sand. The walls are covered with red gorgonians and Parazoanthus. At 36 meters there is the lead log of a Roman anchor and continuing the dive westwards on a sandy bottom we find another Roman anchor whose shell and stem are broken.

Secca dei Dotti

Wonderful dry not far from Isola dei Cavoli. The diving for depth and presence at times of current, is reserved for experienced divers. It is precisely due to the presence of current that visibility is very good. The shoal is made up of agglomerations of large rocks that form a sort of horseshoe. Large fans of red and yellow gorgonians, an interesting destination for photographers and video divers. Numerous brown and golden groupers (precisely the Dotti).

I.Cavoli - Congresso S

Diving point with great underwater fauna, a stop not to be excluded on your own route. Diving in these areas is always satisfying, a gift to be given if you are in the cabbage island area, dotted with spots like this.

The very collapsed wreck is placed in navigation position on a detrital bottom at a depth of about 35 m. The Eagle was a cargo steamer over 70 m long built in 1893 and registered with the Maritime Compartment of Genoa. During the Second World War it was requisitioned by the Royal Navy and used for the transport of supplies. It was sunk with three torpedoes on 29 March 1943 by the Dutch submarine Dolfijn while, about a mile from Capo Carbonara, it was sailing from Cagliari to La Maddalena, escorted by a minesweeper.
